We had quite the adventurous Thanksgiving this year. Between our active 19 month old and my 7 month pregnant belly, our drive to Oregon was quite an experience. We were so thankful to have the chance to stop in Lake Tahoe on the way up to spend time with David's grandparents. Uncle Dan and Aunt Erica even came all the way from Boston for some Zach time! :)
It was a very emotional week for us. Depending on the time of day, it seemed that that one of us was always teary or "on the verge." We were so blessed to end up in Cannon Beach Oregon, where we got to hang with family and friends while my dad spoke at the Cannon Beach Conference Center. It was a week packed full of celebrating God's goodness to us over the last year. It is still stunning to remember where we were last Thanksgiving. Long story short, I was smuggling Zach into David's hospital room. And yes, I did use a giant Costco bag!
Here are some pictures of our fun-filled and exhausting week!
At the Thanksgiving feast!
With my sis and her fam.
Our sweet nieces (aka 24/7 babysitters) being entertained by Zach :)
A break in the rain= desperate attempt of photo shoot in front of Cannon Beach's Haystack Rock. It was FREEEEZING!
With Boppie and Papa at one of their all time favorite spots!

Puddles!! I think they were created for little boys. :)
Sporting his new hat!
We were SO thankful to spend a couple days with our dear friends Adam and Jen! Their sweet little Rubie Ann was quite a match for Zach!
Dear Friends.
Sweet Camryn made this pillow for Zach...he loves to growl like a lion and squeeze it!
Uncle Dan with Z man
Zachary was NOT a fan of the snow! We tried slow and steady exposure training...but to no avail. He ended up knee deep and on the sled whether he liked it or not! This is the nicest picture (so as to avoid extreme judging of our parenting techniques!) We have one rule...you have to at least TRY it! :)
Nothing like chains in a snow storm!
