Birthday Boy

1 year ago today we met our precious Samuel David. As I relive hour by hour...the pushing, holding our sweet boy, the tests and assessments, the endless nights in the NICU (thank God only for 2 days!) and finally coming home, i cannot believe that it has been a year!

Sammy~ you have brought such joy to our little family. We are amazed daily how a little boy can be such a sweetie! We love each and every way that your spunky personality is starting to shine. We love that you already fight back with your brother, that you turn your head to each and every silly nickname, that you love to cuddle, that you pat our back when we pat yours, and (one of Daddy's favorites) that one of your first words was "catch"! We love your handsome features and your sweet smile, your love of peek-a-boo and your persistence to chase a ball up and down the hall a zillion times. We love your love for eating everything. Especially the way you find every itty bitty piece of anything, reminding me that once again, I need to sweep.

We don't just love you because you are the world's EASIEST baby (although it is a perk!). We are blessed to be your mommy and daddy. If your first year is any indicator, we know that you will continue to be a JOY to parent (minus a few bumps along the way). We love you, our sweet Sammy. Happy Birthday.
