Our birthing experience was a little out of the ordinary. :) Thanks to Barb and Kari we had the most perfect day! Our care was incredible...we seriously got VIP treatment!
Long story short...
We knew the doctor we wanted to deliver with and thanks to our insiders we knew their schedule at the hospital! We had all decided that Wed the 15th was the perfect day to have Zach. So...David and I woke up that morning on a mission! After walking the several miles uphill to church my contractions were pretty consistent but not getting much stronger. Meanwhile...Kari was at work and talked to our doctor who agreed that it was a good day for us to have Zach! :)
So, while we were at home getting very frustrated Kari was working her magic! :) She called David around noon and told us to come on down to the hospital. Dr. Rocca was on board for inducing labor. Yeah! :)
Side note...on the way to the hospital we were both on the phone with our lender, real estate agent, bank, etc. finalizing all the details for our new house which was scheduled to close 2 days later. Crazy! They all knew the situation because I was contracting the night before in their office while we were signing loan docs. :)
After 12 great hours of fun, family, 3 extra rounds of my epidural and 1.5 hours of pushing Zachary James was born at 1:10 am on April 16th.
