The Close of 2012, Part 1

2012 was quite a year! Our family went through many changes and transitions. Through it all, we so clearly saw and felt God's fingerprint on each and every detail. With David's transition into full time ministry, my transition to full time stay at home mommy (YEAH!), the year was a bit of whirlwind. It's seems to be our style (not by choice), we somehow go out with a bang. 2012 was no different. November and December were packed. Literally. It felt like every day came with a full agenda. We celebrated a lot, remembered a lot, and were reminded that trusting Jesus is the only way to survive each and every day.

Every year (since 2009) we have celebrated the anniversary of the miraculous day that God saved David's life. It is a beautiful time for our family and loved ones to focus, gain perspective and give thanks.

                           Faith Friday 2012

We closed November with me and the kids taking a trip to Oregon while David went on a 3 week missions trip to South Africa (post coming soon!). We joke about which of us had it harder. ;)

Freezing day at Cannon Beach!
 Thanksgiving

Me and the girls at a late night movie!
Precious visit with the most precious friend

Nothing is the same without daddy, but we made the best of the tiny cabin, freezing temperatures and Sam learning to climb out of the pack-n-play while we were all in one room. :)
