Updates, updates and more updates!

Since I'm just realizing how long it's been since I've last blogged, I feel the need to come up with a witty excuse. I think all I've got in my back pocket is my "pregnant brain" card. We have had a very eventful couple months. All of it PACKED FULL with God's Faithfulness.

I think the only way to catch up is to revert to my mad list making abilities. :) Here is how we have been blessed in the past few months!

1. David is BACK TO WORK THIS WEEK! When his illness struck back in November of 09, we had no idea what his road back would look like. Well, it turns out it was hard, but miraculous. From what we can gather, he is the fastest GBS patient (struck with similar intensities) to return back to work full time. He is living on a prayer as he hangs on through this first week. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR HIM. He is battling anxiety and exhaustion.

2. David had the wonderful privilege to speak to our church's high school group on the Summer Houseboat's trip. He spoke about the cost of following Christ. These are lessons that have been evident in our home every day over the past several months. We are praising God that he made it through the week! He got to rest every day and his body did not go crazy with the Mojave heat.

3. Hmm...I guess it's big news that we are expecting baby boy #2 in January!! It wasn't something we ever talked about publicly, but we were told in no uncertain terms that David probably wouldn't be able to have any more children, and if we could, it would be a long, difficult process. At the time we just thought "we will cross that bridge when we come to it Lord!". Well, he helped us across the bridge when we didn't even know it. We could not be more overjoyed. We will have two wild boys 21 months apart.

Our sweet little boy at 14 weeks. Thanks to Aunt Kari we got a 4D ultrasound on the house...and on my birthday!!

5. We were so blessed to visit my Aunt Claudia in Hawaii with our dear friends, Brandon and Lisa, in June. She is a doctor and has walked closely with us through David's time in the hospital and his recovery. Needless to say, it doesn't get old seeing people's faces when they see David for the first time. Now, much to David's dismay, she wouldn't let him scuba dive, but we got to do all the other fun stuff! We even braved a 5 mile kayak trip with a 1 year old. p.s. not recommended. Especially when you're pregnant and don't know it yet... and when it's raining,,, and when one of you has Guillian Barre...and so and so on. :) We had such a wonderful time with our friends enjoying the luxuries of my Aunt's BEAUTIFUL home. GOD is GOOD.
